Troubleshooting

Fix common problems and see what the bot's messages mean.

#Commands

Commands don't show up in the / list

Discord hides commands you don't have the permission for. With the prefix, the bot names the permission you're missing.
Most commands only work in a server. DMs only show the ones that work anywhere, like lookups, /help and /ping.

The bot doesn't answer the prefix

Mention the bot on its own to see the prefix. A server prefix replaces ,, and your own replaces the server's.
@Utilities help works whatever the prefix is.
Purge, send, dice and coinflip need no space after the prefix: ,purge 5, not , purge 5.
,close, ,open, ,delete and ,unclaim only work inside a ticket.
Utilities needs to see and send messages in the channel.

It shows help instead of running

An option is missing: ,panel create needs a name, like ,panel create support. See Syntax.

"User does not exist"

A typed name must match one member's whole username, display name or nickname. Use a mention or ID instead.

#Roles and permissions

The bot can't give a role

Drag Utilities' role above the roles it gives, and give it Manage Roles.
Nobody can give @everyone or an integration's role.
Fixed the order for transactions? /transaction sync gives buyers the roles they missed.

"BOT Requires: …"

Utilities is missing the permissions it names. Allow them on its role, and check the channel doesn't take them away. See Permissions.

#Panels and premium

A posted panel didn't change after editing

Posted panels don't update on their own. Update redraws the last one you sent, or another copy by message link. It also fixes That option no longer exists.

Premium isn't working

/premium stats shows the server's plan, and /premium user stats shows yours.
/premium claim applies a key to the server you run it in. Each key works once, and a key made out to someone only works for them.
User premium unlocks features anywhere but doesn't raise a server's limits. Only Tier 2 keys can be claimed as user premium.

#Messages you might see

"Error occurred while performing this action"

Something failed on Discord's side or the bot's. Post the error code from the message in the support server, with what you were doing.

"Must be command author to use this"

Most buttons only work for whoever ran the command. Run it yourself.

The arrows or dropdown went away

After a minute unused, page arrows are removed and view dropdowns, like a Roblox card's, are turned off. Run the command again.

Other messages

It says	What to do
Please wait … before using … again.	Wait the time it gives.
The bot is catching up in this server.	Try again in a moment.
Too many commands are running.	Wait for them to finish.
Maximum of … reached.	Remove one, or see Premium.
All categories are full.	Discord allows 50 channels per category. Delete old tickets or add a category to the option.
Not a ticket channel.	Run it inside the ticket.
