Customization
Give Utilities its own name, avatar, banner, colour and reply style in your server.
#Overview
With Tier 2, Utilities can look like your own bot in your server: its display name, avatar, banner and bio, the colour of its replies, and the look of its success, warning, error and cooldown messages. Changes only apply to your server.
#Getting started
Get Tier 2. Your server needs Tier 2, or you need Tier 2 user premium. See Premium.
Give it a name and a picture. Run
/customize displayand/customize avatar.Pick a colour. Run
/customize colorwith a hex colour.
/customize display Support Bot /customize color #5865F2
#Name, avatar, banner and bio
/customize displaysets the bot's display name in your server, up to 32 characters. Run it with no name to go back to the bot's own./customize avatarand/customize bannertake an uploaded image, or a link to one. It has to be a PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP under 8 MB./customize biosets the bio on the bot's profile in your server, up to 400 characters.
Discord allows only about two changes an hour to the bot's avatar, banner and bio. If it refuses one, the bot tells you to try again in about an hour. On top of that, each person can run each of these four commands once a minute.
#Colour
/customize color sets the colour of the bot's ordinary replies in your server. Type it as a hex code with six digits, like #5865F2, or three, like #f0a. Run it with no colour to go back to the default.
#Reply styles
/customize feedback shows the bot's four kinds of reply as they look now: success, warning, error and cooldown. Each has a button, Edit success, Edit warning, Edit error and Edit cooldown, that opens its code to edit.
A style is written in the same components code as the bot's other messages, and can use variables. Three parts of it are worth knowing:
{output}is the sentence the command answers with. You cannot change that sentence, only what goes around it. If you leave it out, it is added back at the end.{glyph:success}and the others are the bot's own emoji. Delete one to have no emoji.{user.mention}names the person the reply is for. It never pings them. Delete it to leave the name off.
Empty the box and submit to put the bot's own style back.
#Resetting
/customize reset asks you to confirm, then puts everything back: name, avatar, banner, bio, colour and reply styles. It works without premium, so a server whose Tier 2 has ended can always take it off.
#Good to know
- Every
/customizecommand needs Manage Server. - When Tier 2 ends, your customisation is taken off within the hour. It is kept, and goes back on when you renew.
