Autoreact
React to every message in a channel automatically.
#Overview
Pick a channel and an emoji, and Utilities adds that reaction to every new message posted there. It's handy for suggestion channels, polls, showcases and vouches. A channel can have up to 3 reactions.
#Getting started
Add a reaction. Run
/autoreact addwith an emoji, and the channel. Leave the channel out to use the one you're typing in.Watch for the check. Utilities reacts to its own reply with the emoji. If that works, the emoji is saved.
Add more if you want. Run it again with another emoji, up to 3 per channel.
/autoreact add emoji:👍 channel:#suggestions /autoreact add emoji:👎 channel:#suggestions
#Choosing an emoji
You can use any standard emoji, or a custom emoji from a server Utilities is in. Utilities tells you which of these went wrong:
- It isn't an emoji. Check what you typed.
- It's from a server Utilities can't see. Pick an emoji from your own server, or one Utilities is in.
- Discord refused it. Utilities tries the reaction on its reply before keeping it. If Discord says no, nothing is saved.
#Removing reactions
/autoreact remove suggests the channels that have reactions. Name an emoji too to take off just that one, or leave it out to remove all of that channel's reactions. /autoreact clear removes every autoreact in the server, after asking you to confirm.
#Good to know
- Utilities doesn't react to messages from bots.
- It works in text and announcement channels.
- Utilities needs Add Reactions in the channel.
- You need Manage Channels to use these commands.
- Your plan's limit counts each reaction: 2 on Free, 25 on Tier 1 and 50 on Tier 2. Three reactions on one channel and two on another uses 5. See Premium.
- If your plan drops to a lower tier, your newest reactions keep working, up to the new limit.
- If a custom emoji is deleted from its server, Utilities removes it from autoreact the next time it tries to use it. The channel's other reactions keep working.
