Transcripts

Save a ticket's messages, pictures and files.

#Getting started

  1. Pick a transcript channel

    In the panel's editor, under Configuration, Behaviour.

  2. Save one

    Press Transcript on a closed ticket, or delete the ticket.

#Using a transcript

Each is posted as a file: a web page that looks like Discord. Its message says who opened the ticket, who saved it and how many messages each person sent.

#Open it in a browser

Press Generate Transcript Link under the file. The link lasts about a day; press again for a new one.

#What a transcript holds

The newest 1,000 messages, in a file up to your plan's size limit.

When it doesn't all fit

Text goes in first, then pictures and files, oldest first. Any that don't fit stay as Discord links, which stop working after about a day. The oldest messages are cut only if the text alone is too big.

#Good to know

  • If a transcript can't be saved on delete, the channel is kept and the bot says so. Deleting again goes ahead without one.
